Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first starring role on TV. Coleman Domingo will be my favorite actor. He can really turn reading a phone book into a compelling story. And that’s about as compelling as The Madness is right now. The dialogue is embarrassingly bad. It tries hard to be punchy and helpful, but it comes across as very predictable and trite. There are many things in the story that defy even the most basic common sense from the beginning. I keep asking myself, “Why, why, why?” So much so that after episode 2, I skipped episode 7 to see what happens at the end. I have no doubt that the episodes I skipped contain little more than a lot of over-the-top narration and redundant dialogue.
